I worked on Minecraft: Dungeons as a 3D/Tech/Lighting Artist for 8 months during 2018-2019. Since then a lot has happened to the game and the areas where I worked have been improved and iterated upon by others, so I cannot take full credit! It was a huge team-effort and an atmosphere where everyone helped out with everything, so what I'm showing in these screenshots are not solely mine and I would like you to focus on the lighting and post-processing!
I mainly did a lighting pass on all the levels in the game, as well as optimization and profiling in regards to lighting and rendering. When I wasn't doing those things I helped out with creating shaders for outlining enemies, highlighting edges for readability purposes, even for UI elements and the map. I also got the engaging task of rendering all the Icons for the weapons, armors and artifacts!
As a bonus I got the opportunity to invent some Unique Weapons, their names and enchantments and art, which was a lot of fun!
I also added some fluffy polish things in my last month of working there, such as bats flying out of trees and grass/bushes being affected by the player!
